I don't know how you do it: remaining as polite as this in the face of
such pigheadedness.

The man is arrogant (everything he does is 'carefully crafted'),
abrasive (judging by the treatment he gave Harlan recently), and
downright rude (to people who find a "typo" in his RFC).

Despite his significant contributions to the community, which I do not
call into question, he could do with a dose of humility.
