Hi,
I want to set up a NTP server in our lab that is synchronized by a GPS
receiver. We have a TrueTime (model-5900) GPS card plugged in our system
with the antenna wire connected to the card. I have set up the necessary
symbolic links required ( /dev/true0 -> /dev/ttyS0) and also modified the
ntp.conf file to use the GPS as the reference clock (127.127.5.0)

When I start NTP, and then query it using "ntpq -p", it displays a entry
showing "TRUETIME(0)..." where in the reachability entry is 0
and the delay, offset fields are 0.0000 and the jitter is 4000.0

I am not sure whether ntpd is detecting the GPS card ?

or am I missing something here ?

Thanks,
Ramanathan
