Sounds good to me!  K&R permitted a lot of sloppy coding practices that 
cause strict ANSI C to generate error or warning messages.

Which ANSI C standard did you plan to conform to?  ANSI 77 was a pretty 
good standard but I have read some negative comments about later 
standards (ANSI 99??) being internally inconsistent and incompatible 
with earlier versions.
