The backbone certainly supports IPv6 and a lot of the routers leading to
it. However most of the ISP's haven't bothered yet as they don't see the
demand for it. Most ISP modern routers support IPv6 but the ISP's aren't
going to turn it on as there is more work for them than demand. The home
routers and cable/DSL modems still don't seem to support IPv6 presumably
because the manufacturers don't see the demand for it.
