I would like to ask for an advice on the following problem:
I have a server that lost GPS signal (cable disconnected), transitioned into orphan child at stratum 5, then got GPS cable reconnected yet remains as orphan child stratum 5 (for 1 hour):

The gpsd and GPS signal, tested on a side, are fine. Yet ntpd remains in orphan mode. Could an expert please comment?
Thanks,
Jerzy Miernik.
