One says stratum 6, the other says stratum 5?

 Either those were not done at the same time,
  or not done to the same server,
  or one of those software is broken.

Do ntpq -n -clpe -clas -crv
 and ntpstat at the same time?

 {I'm guessing ntpstat isn't parsing the response properly?
   You might want to check people.redhat.com/rkeech/#ntpstat
   I think this was discussed a few months ago}
