I am trying to connect a garmin 18x to a redhat 6 computer. According
to minicom I get responses from the GPS, but ntpd does not seem to see
the device. My /etc/ntp.conf file has it listed as
server 127.127.20.0 mode 0 prefer
I get the following when I run ntp manually:

ntpd 4.2.4p8 at 1.1612-o Thu May 13 14:38:25 UTC 2010 (1)
