... which I have to say works very nicely.  We've had one up on the roof
for quite a few years now.  It's a single serial connector from the host
through an interface box to the unit.  The driver toggles a control line
(DCD, I think) and the unit sends a timestamp in response.  The whole thing
was absolutely no problem at all to get working.
