Yes, certainly a first step. But as he says, it needs automation so that
it can extract those coefficients from the data, not have them fed in by
guess or by golly.
And a factor of 2 is nothing to sneeze at although chrony already does a
pretty good job of tracking the time. Certainly with good temp
coefficients, chrony should coast through long shutdowns of the remote
clocks for quite a while.
Anyway, it is clear that more work needs to be done.
