What do these messages say, if anything, about the passage of time on
the system?

 6 Feb 12:17:40 ntpd[27435]: kernel time sync enabled 6001
 6 Feb 12:34:45 ntpd[27435]: kernel time sync enabled 2001

It is a system with which I do not have much familiarity - for example
I don't know what version of NTP is running there :( I do know though
that it is a Citrix netscaler, but I don't know what version of Citrix
bits are running there.

I ask because I have a packet trace which shows behaviour that would
be consistent with time stepping backwards and am looking to
confirm/refute the hypothesis.

Pointers to a FAQ entry or a Fine Manual (tm) would be great.

thanks,

rick jones
