[ntp:questions] Fwd: Difference between syslog and msyslog

Hello,

I've been going through xntpd code and found that syslog and msyslog are
both used (interchangeably?) for logging. I tried to understand msyslog()
code, but I found it very confusing. Can someone tell me why we need such a
complicated logging function? or please point me to the corresponding
documentation.
