Network Time Foundation 2017 First Half Accomplishments

** Network Time Foundation Update:
2017 First Half Accomplishments
------------------------------------------------------------

First, special thanks to all of our generous members, donors, volunteers and contractors. Because of their continued support Network Time Foundation was able to accomplish some great things in the first half of 2017. As a nonprofit organization, they enable NTF to produce and maintain the most reliable, secure and trusted open-source network time software that is so vital to the infrastructure of our modern world. We look forward to sharing even more accomplishments with you next quarter.

** Technical Milestones
------------------------------------------------------------
* NTF published ntp-4.2.8p10, an NTP security update, on March 21st. The update includes 6 medium-severity and 4 low-severity security fixes, along with 15 minor bug fixes and some small improvements.
* Significant progress has been made with new Extension Field processing, which will allow NTF to integrate the work done on NTS (Network Time Security - the replacement for Autokey).
* Harlan Stenn, Bruce Korb, Danny Mayer, Sue Graves and Richard Welty participated in several IETF ntpwg (NTP Working Group) and NTS development meetings.

** Company

* Volunteers brought several network switches and many servers online at ServerCentral in Chicago.
* In Q1, NTF added a part-time contractor, Koni Burrow, as Social Media Manager.
