waiting is most likely not the solution as ntpd needs to reinitialize
its interface list to account for the new interface address. So the
best solution is to wait until the solution in bug 622 makes it into
ntp-dev or to restart ntpd.
why pakets sent via the wildcard sockets don't seem to elicit a reply
escapes me - could they be dropped because we don't accept
input on wildcard sockets ? I am not seeing the respective
receive events in the log, though.
