Summary: Time taken by ntpd to synchronize to non-local clock
           Product: ntp
           Version: 4.2.0
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Windows 2000
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: ntpd
        AssignedTo: stenn at ntp.org
        ReportedBy: rshenoy1 at motorola.com
                CC: bugs at ntp.isc.org

It takes more than 7 to 12 minutes for ntpd to synchronize to a non-local clock.
Is this normal?

My ntpd.conf file looks like this:
broadcastclient
enable bclient
server 127.127.1.1 minpoll 4 maxpoll 4 iburst burst
fudge 127.127.1.1 stratum 12 refid LCL
calldelay 2
driftfile /data/ntpd.drift
pidfile /data/ntpd.pid
tinker panic 1
disable stats
disable kernel
disable auth

Thank you.
