Frank,

I don't understand what you mean by your Comment #31 when you say that Linux
returns ::1 when attempting to send to a local interface address. Under what
circumstance would you expect to send to a local interface address outside of
using ntpq, etc. on the local system? All interface addresses are local
interface addresses so I really don't understand the comment.
