Hi Harlan.
I'm afraid, my statement about dev-4.2.5p20 was a little bit overoptimistic.
At the end, it shows the same behaviour as 4.2.4p0. It only takes much longer
for the deamon freq to converge to the residual frequency error. :-(
I've discussed the problem with a colleague and we would propose the following
when runnig in "-x" mode:
- Initioalize the kernel freq with the value from the drift file at startup
- Initialize the daemon freq to 0.000 at startup
- Use the sum of kernel freq and daemom freq when writing to the drift file
What do you think?
Bye
Juergen
