SHA-1 (and of course MD5) has been deprecated as an approved hash algorithm for
FIPS-140-2 compliance. The approved algorithms are SHA-224, SHA-256, SHA-384,
and SHA-512. Ref:NIST Special Publication 800-131A,Transitions: Recommendation
for
Transitioning the Use of Cryptographic Algorithms and Key Lengths.
We would like to see support for one or more of these in Autokey
authentication.
