Dave,
         I found and fixed the problem. I had ged way the broadcast code
worked. It is now receiving packets properly. I'll commit the fix in a few 
minutes.

However, on baldwin it is not authenticating. See below. I expected to see 
baldwin
send a session_key to the server but it doesn't happen so it doesn't 
authenticate.
Can you look at this part? Where does this happen? I just copied a few
lines for you to see.
