You are just plain wrong here Todd. You are also way out of line.
*I* set up the donations area, and ISC has been kind enough to "escrow"
any donations that are made until the money is spent on project-
related issues.
If somebody decides to donate money to the ISC in general, it will be
used to pay for things like electricity, internet access, staff time
(racking machines, fixing machines, rebooting machines, upgrading machines,
and tons of other things), equipment, etc.
I gather Dave Mills sometimes gets grants/contracts to work on NTP.
To my knowledge, nobody else has gotten a dime for their work.
(I did get a small contract to write a driver for a refclock once, and
that software was donated to the project).

There is more effort here than maintaining a codebase.
We have a mechanism to accept money, that is different from actually
receiving any money.
