As I understand it, I'm not alone in being an ADSL home user who's volunteered 
to be part of the pool. On a professional basis, I also wouldn't consider 
putting a public NTP service behind NAT (although I would put it behind a 
firewall). On a home basis I have to take what I can get (and afford).

I have an ADSL line to home. The ADSL modem/router performs NAT for me so that I 
can have several devices on my home network. One of those devices happens to be 
a GNU/Linux based firewall/server, so I suppose I could make that do my NAT for 
me. I considered converting the ADSL modem/router into a bridge, but decided I'd 
rather have the additional layer of firewalling inherent in its own NAT. Either 
way, I need IPv4 NAT for my network.
