As usual, I've built and uploaded NT binaries for the new ntp release:

    http://norloff.org/ntp/ntp-4.2.0-nt.zip

This version also includes the required openssl libraries.

INSTALLING NTP ON NT/W2K/XP

If you are going to install ntp for the first time, the easiest method
is to first download the version that includes an InstallShield script:

   http://norloff.org/ntp/ntp4172.zip

Install this version, accepting the defaults, and enter at least one
server in the ntp.conf file.

***********************************************************
(If you have previously installed NTP, you can start here!)
***********************************************************

Next, open a Command Prompt and stop the NTP service:

NET STOP NetworkTimeProtocol

Extract the binaries from ntp-4.2.0-nt.zip on top of those previously
installed (usually located in C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32 or C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32).

Restart the service:

NET START NetworkTimeProtocol

Finally, verify that it is working by using the NTPQ program:

ntpq -p

This should shortly (within about 5 minutes) result in a list of the
servers included in the ntp.conf file, with a '*' mark in front of one
of them. This means that NTP is synchronized.

For more info, see the official documentation at <http://www.ntp.org/>!
