Wouldn't it be a good idea to put the location of the actually loaded
ntp.conf file into a registry key under the service path? E.g. there's
already the ImagePath registry key which shows from where the ntpd binary
has been loaded.

This would enable a kind of GUI configuration tool to easily locate and edit
the configuration file.
