Hello;

I'm using  "ntp-dev-4.2.0a-20041130.tar.gz".

IPv4 multicast works for me, and IPv6 link-local multicast works
(ff02::101), but not site-local multicast (ff05::101) - the most useful
multicast destination.  I'm not a programmer, but I've got good v6 know-how
and an excellent test bed, and I'd like to help make it work. What can I
do?

---------- relevant notes --------

IPv4 multicast is working:
---------------------------------------------
[root at lisa root]# tcpdump dst 224.0.1.1
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
21:00:40.918563 IP lisa.native6.com.ntp > NTP.MCAST.NET.ntp: NTPv4,
Broadcast, length 48
21:01:46.971403 IP lisa.native6.com.ntp > NTP.MCAST.NET.ntp: NTPv4,
Broadcast, length 48
------------- end -----------

IPv6 multicast is working to link-local multicast address ff02::101:
---------------------------------------------
[root at lisa root]# tcpdump dst ff02::101
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
20:57:19.756960 fe80::20d:61ff:fe57:8d4.ntp > ff02::101.ntp: NTPv4,
Broadcast, length 48 [hlim 1]
20:58:22.807787 fe80::20d:61ff:fe57:8d4.ntp > ff02::101.ntp: NTPv4,
Broadcast, length 48 [hlim 1]
----------- end -----------

IPv6 multicast is NOT working to site-local multicast address ff05::101:
---------------------------------------------
[root at lisa root]# tcpdump dst ff05::101
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on eth0, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 96 bytes
(nothing output)
------------ end -------
