[ntp:questions] restrict in ntpdc

Greetings,

This is the last thing that I dont clearly understand
(at least, I hope so).

I cheat from the example ntp.conf from
http://lists.trustix.org/pipermail/tsl-discuss/2004-June/011210.html
http://lists.trustix.org/pipermail/tsl-discuss/2004-June/011216.html

So basically my ntp.conf (would) look(s) like

addserver x.y.z.w #with possibly other options
#and
restrict default ignore
restrict x.y.z.w mask 255.255.255.255 nomodify notrap noquery
restrict 127.0.0.1

But the machine is not connected when ntp starts.
So I would add the servers from /etc/ppp/ip-up and also the restrictions too.
The thing that I dont understand is when using, say, pool.ntp.org with
addserver, then how can I specify the corresponding restrict command
in ntpdc?
The examples show that in ntp.conf I can use the string pool.ntp.org.

But does it work in ntpdc?
Or shall I query the IPs with ntpdc with a script as at
http://bugzilla.ntp.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51
then use these IPs with the restrict commands?

So, rewriting the above for ntpdc

restrict 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 ignore
restrict WHAT_COMES_HERE? mask 255.255.255.255 nomodify notrap noquery
restrict 127.0.0.1 version

(where at 127.0.0.1 I have to specify something)

Thanks for your help in advance.

Regards,
B.N.
