yeah, i was just noticing i got some flash codes of 80, which indicates 
a likely dispersion issue.... anyone have more ideas here?

on the b and c machines the ntp.conf is basically:

server <addr> burst iburst

driftfile /var/ntp/drift

tinker panic 0
