[ntp:questions] Initial Setting

Hi All,

My hardware (old, don't ask) has a bad habit of racing the hardware clock
forward when the power is off. This means that after a power outage, the
system restarts with a date that is often significantly outside the sanity
range of ntpd's normal margins.

My question, then, is: is there a flag that I can set to ask ntpd to ignore
the sanity limit for its first adjustment after restart ? This would allow
it to sync with the outside world time-servers and reset the strange local
clock just once, then behave as usual.

Jonathan
