Dave and Ronan,

I was using my notebook with wireless network. I change to wired network. 
Using wired network I did the same test and work fine.

I took the opportunity to do some test else.
I turn my notebook to wireless network and using option "-d" from ntpdc 
(4.2.0) receive the follow:

> ntpdc -d -n -c monlist 192.168.0.21
192.168.0.21: timed out with incomplete data
Received sequence numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 
15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,last frame not received
***Response from server was incomplete

Although received 20 datagram, ntpdc doesn't show any information else (I 
followed all test with an ethereal).

I downloaded the release production NTP 4.2.0 and build a new ntpdc. Using new 
ntpdc receive the follow:
 
> ntpdc -d -n -c monlist 192.168.0.21
192.168.0.21: timed out with incomplete data
Received sequence numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 
15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 45,61, 69, 71, 72, 76, 80, last frame not received
***Response from server was incomplete

I have compared both source code and I noted some differences in ntpdc_ops.c.  

I have tried to set a big SO_RCVBUF in ntpdc.c but the answer are always 
similar. I think the original value work fine here. :)
