Bjorn,

You are absolutely correct. What the Corpsmen need to know is that, if 
the vendor does something surprising, we need a machanism to detect that 
and immediatly deflect to the vendor's helpdesk. I am very serious. The 
distribtution needs a signature. Newsgroup questions require the 
signature. If it fails, the question is immediately referred to the 
vendor helpdesk. As I have spent a several quality hours responding to 
these messages, I am a real fan of this scheme.
