[ntp:questions] Lindy "precision clock" MSF receiver & ntp under Linux

Hi,

I bought a "precision clock" MSF receiver by Lindy
(http://www.lindy.com/uk/productfolder/02/20983/).
Now of course I would like to make NTP sync using it. As it is not
officially supported to run under Linux I have to do some guesswork. The
DCF receiver didn't work altough the stream I saw logged in syslog
(indicating that the parity was incorrect) looked a little like what I
see from my DCF77 receiver. That was a type 8 mode 14 driver. The next
thing I tried was a type 8 mode 17: "VARITEXT Receiver (MSF)". And
altough the led on the device flashes every second (+/-) ntp doesn't
sync.
ntpq> cv 15436 type,timecode,poll,noreply,badformat,baddata,fudgetime1,fudgetime2,stratum,refid,flags,device,clock_var_list,refclock_time,refclock_status,refclock_format,refclock_states,refclock_id,refclock_iomode,refclock_driver_version
assID=15436 status=0x0100,
type=8, timecode, poll=13, noreply=6, badformat=0, baddata=0,
fudgetime1=0.000, fudgetime2=0.000, stratum=0, refid=MSF, flags=0,
device="Varitext receiver",
clock_var_list="type,timecode,poll,noreply,badformat,baddata,fudgetime1,fudgetime2,stratum,refid,flags,device,clock_var_list,refclock_time,refclock_status,refclock_format,refclock_states,refclock_id,refclock_iomode,refclock_driver_version",
refclock_time="<UNDEFINED>", refclock_status="",
refclock_format="Varitext Radio Clock",
refclock_states="*NO RESPONSE: 00:13:18 (100.00%); running time: 00:13:18",
refclock_id="MSF", refclock_iomode="normal",
refclock_driver_version="refclock_parse.c,v 4.36 1999/11/28 17:18:20 kardel RELEASE_19991128_A"
Has anyone gotten this clock to work with ntp?
I'm using this version of ntpd:
ntpd: ntpd 4.2.0a at 1:4.2.0a+stable-2-r Fri Aug 26 10:29:45 UTC 2005 (1)
(Debian release)
