Subject: NTP Issue: synchronisation lost problem

Hi,

I am facing some NTP problem in my cluster setup. My cluster setup has
two firewalls (Red hat 7.3 OS), one is acting as
a master and the other machine as backup. When I pump more traffic
through master, I noticed some time delay in the back up machine, which
is causing to display "synchronisation lost" messages in
/var/log/messages file. Due to this delay, ntpd daemon is synchronizing
the time for every 15 minutes after logging the "synchronisation lost"
message to log file. This problem is happening only when the master is
handling more traffic.
I am using ntp-4.1.1 binaries, Can any body let me know whether this is
a known issue if so whether it's fixed in ntp-4.2.2(I have not yet tried
these binaries) or not?

Please let me know the root cause and how to sort out this issue?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,
Gopi
