Mario,
Using mode 2 forces your Oncore into 'site-survey' mode which can take
hours.
I suggest the following, which should make it come up fast:
Put reasonably accurate LAT and LON values in the config and
then use MODE 1.

This places the unit into position hold mode and should be quite quick.
Mine lock in less than a minute as I recall. (been a while).
