Which SuSE release?
Can you ping that host ( 192.168.1.121 )

Is your firewall active?

( following valid for at least 9.0 onwards /current 10.2)

If you configure and activate ntpd by way of Yast2
Yast2 -> network services -> NTP-Client -> Complex Setup,
enter your Server and stuff,
Yast2 will fix your firewall settings apropriately.
