Combining this with Martin Burnicki's comment, have something like this
in ntp.conf:

server 0.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 1.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 2.it.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 3.it.pool.ntp.org iburst

(using 0,1,2,3 subdomains guarantees that you do not use the same server
more than once).
