I can only find SCO Technical Article 104234, referring to an RTC issue
on SCO Unixen prior to OpenServer. Nothing for OpenServer.
I have NTP running on several OpenServer systems and apparently happily
keeping time with pool.ntp.org servers with an offset of a few ms (at
one location) and a few tens of ms (at another). This is good enough for
my purposes.
No NTPD stepping is reported in the logs except once after each reboot,
presumably because the RTC has been set incorrectly regarding DST.
# setclk -p
RTC 2009/10/26 16:03:38 DST
SYS 2009/10/26 16:03:36 STD RTC-SYS=-3598
Can you provide a URL that refers to the issue you describe with an
undesirable RTC interaction with NTPD on SCO OpenServer?
