Yes it does.  But precision timekeeping fails big time on VMs

Even on the desktop VMs are useful.  I think it is the best way to run
MS Windows and I use it for software testing too.  I'm a big fan of
VMware's products.  But it is 100% not good for any kind of
timekeeping or for "hard" real time applications.
