My belief is 802.11 treats all unicast datagrams equally, and all
multicast/broadcast datagrams equally, in terms of the ack/retransmit
behavior. I'm not making any statement about standards compliance --
I am unfamiliar with 802.11 specs. My peanut gallery idea is perhaps
UDP in general or NTP specifically would benefit from 802.11 not
attempting retransmission.
