The logic of the polling driver is admirable, and should result in
relatively tiny CPU consumption if it works well (< 15 usec of
busy-waiting each second). That's low enough that being even more
clever (adaptive) seems unlikely to be worth the extra code. Thank
for the pointer.
In practice, are GPIO input pins commonly available on an open header,
or is soldering required?
