I assume you mean that we have no way of deciding whether or not to enable or
disable the address? I think that we may need to document this as being
unsupported. I understand that this kind of thing happens in routers. I think
that we can only deal with the same address on different interfaces if both are
enabled but it is not clear to me even then which interface would get used when
sending a packet on that address. I think this is likely to be ambiguous and
probably dependent on the O/S.
