Hi experts,
I am trying to run 'ntpd' on power-pc platform running 2.6.28 linux.
I am able to cross compile, and run ntpd on my system.
It is able to communicate with "servers" and get reference time.
But, when I run "ntpq -c rv", I get the following output.
ntpq> rv
associd=0 status=c628 leap_alarm, sync_ntp, 2 events, no_sys_peer,
version="ntpd 4.2.6p2 at 1.2194-o Fri Aug 20 20:58:47 UTC 2010 (2)",
processor="ppc", system="Linux/2.6.28.9", leap=11, stratum=2,
precision=-20, rootdelay=11.349, rootdisp=2296.181, refid=16.84.134.123,
reftime=d0196bc4.f13c2bd0 Fri, Aug 20 2010 16:01:56.942,
clock=d0196bce.5000fbaa Fri, Aug 20 2010 16:02:06.312, peer=22672, tc=4,
mintc=3, offset=0.000, frequency=0.000, sys_jitter=819.249,
clk_jitter=56.636, clk_wander=0.000
The status is always "leap_alarm". I think, that means leap is not in sync. Please suggest me why is it so?
Is it anything to do with the realtime clock in the system? Is it something to do with linux kernel in my system.
Please someone help me out. I am not able to make any progress.
Few other debug outputs.
