Folks,

Just wanted to give an update on the 4.2.8 release status.

I believe there are 2 remaining Coverity issues I want to look at.

Also, http://support.ntp.org/bin/view/Dev/ReleaseSchedule has a
link for the pending 4.2.8 blocking bugs, and there are 21 on the list.

I know there are some bugs in that list I'm OK postponing to the 4-5.0
release.

Please consider looking at the 4.2.8 blockers and say if you think any
of them should be postponed.

It would also be swell if more folks worked on some of these issues.

================================

Harlan,

I tried to add Bug 2321 "ntp-dev-4.2.7p344 fails to build on Windows Visual
Studio 2010" as blocking 4.2.8, but I don't know if I did it correctly. I
think that the version released should build without the user having to edit
autogen-made files.

Purely personally, broadcast and IPv6 issues don't bother me, but if other
think they should block 4.2.8 so be it.

I would have thought that 1944 could have been postponed, but it's not my
bug.

Cheers,
David
