The numbers from my server:

Traffic base:   ~9 rps
Traffic average:   ~15 rps (1.1 kbytes/s in both directions)
Traffic spikes:   usually 70 - 110 rps, 150 - 200 a few times a month

The spike values presented are obtained with using the 5 minute averaging.
