Ooops. I meant an RS-422 <-> RS-232 converter.
And the version of ntp that I'm using is the one that comes with Solaris,
v3.5x. Can I get the latest ntpd compiled for Sun? Thanks.

v210
The TrueTime box I'm working with is a Model XL-DC 151-602-492 running
TRUETIME MK III software sysver 021.
The tty port on my Sun v210 box is an RS-232 port. I have a 422-322
converter.
I was using a null-modem cable to connect the Sun box and TrueTime box via
RS-232. Do I need a null-modem cable for RS-422 communications?
Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks.

It would help to know exactly what model of TrueTime box you are talking
about. My experience is limited, but I am used to seeing IRIG-B delivered
thru a BNC connector (I'm talking about the audio signal that needs to be
decoded, you may be talking about a signal that has already been decoded).

If your tty port can handle 422 data, that should be the same.
It would also help to know which version of ntpd you were using.

Not sure yet.
