I don't recall ever seeing a clk_fault error with Windows NT4, 2000 or
XP - perhaps I have been lucky? For Windows NT4, my own ntpd.conf reads:
driftfile %windir%\ntp.drift # path for drift file
#
# Pool servers
#
server 0.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 1.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 2.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 3.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 4.uk.pool.ntp.org iburst
#
# The local clock as a last resort
#
server 127.127.1.1
fudge 127.127.1.1 stratum 10
Anders, I'm in the UK and use the "pool" servers. From the command-line,
you can see if the servers you want are reachable with a command like:
C:\> ntpq -p ntp2.sp.se
That name appears not to resolve here, not does ntp.lth.se. Try using the
plain pool servers:
server 0.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 1.pool.ntp.org iburst
server 2.pool.ntp.org iburst
just to see if you can get started.
Cheers,
David
