I'm running the one which came with our version of AIX 5.3 - I did try
looking for a version command before asking the question :-) Any ideas how
to find out?

xntpd -l /home/cg5/a.a -dddddddddd

stdout/stderr output from that is some

systime: adjtv = 0.000000 sec, adjts = 0.000000000 sec, sys_clock_offset =
0.000138994 sec
systime: adjtv = 0.000000 sec, adjts = 0.000000000 sec, sys_clock_offset =
0.000144554 sec

entries - about a coupe of dozen, then it hangs.

Here's what's in /home/cg5/a.a:

Does that give any further help?
