Ntp.drift is updated at intervals with the frequency offset in
ppm. The file contains a single line.

$ cat /var/db/ntpd.drift
-2.546

$ ntpdc -c loopinfo
offset:           -0.000128 s
frequency:        -2.546 ppm
poll adjust:      30
watchdog timer:   1642 s
