I'm not too worried about that - I can boot into a working kernel. I have no
problems with linux sys admin stuff so I'm OK to poke about with it in that
sense.
Anyway I did some more testing last night and changed some settings and
upgraded ntpd see the new stats below from about 12 hrs of happy running.
Still seeing NMEA as a false ticker a lot of the time and I'm still getting
swings from - to + offset.
The PPS output looks much more happy now - this was solved with flag2 1 on
the PPS fudge line in the ntp.conf - I suspect for some reason ntp was
looking at the wrong edge of the pulse.
I'm also keeping an eye on David's thread about the change to the firmware
and the fact the NMEA comes out at 'odd' times - I was running that version
of software from day 1.
